Way to Rorazan
Way to Rorazan
I've been doing the quests to get to Rorazan with my main character because there has been a lot of topics about things going on there. I've been using this page as a reference.
http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=72384
There seems to be 2 questlines on that page. I completed the "Quest to Glory" questline and now I've resumed where I left off in the longer questline that seems to go all the way to Rorazan.
Do you need to do both questlines to get to Rorazan? Is there anyone who knows for sure?

Re: Way to Rorazan
You can get ported to the zone, apart from that yeah you need to do the huge quest lines. If you get ported keep in mind you won't have many quests you can do anyway.
Hate to say I told you so but I told you so lmao

Re: Way to Rorazan
That was awhile ago.
This is how I'm thinking of doing it.
Start with one file that has a database of the quests. If a quest requires that other quests be completed first, that will be noted too. Go through the quests until you find the one you are upto then load the file for that quest. There will be one file for each quest. In the quest file onload is the quest id, start npc and end npc. The first thing it does is check if you are near the start npc. If not, you are given a message telling you where to start. All quest files will start at the start npc for consistency and end where the next one begins, although there may be issues with this. Then I'll load the first file again and it will load the next quest file. Sort of like this

To help facilitate this I'm planning to make a modified createpath that will automate a lot of the steps to creating the quest files. eg. I'll have one button for opening the dialog with the start npc and another for the end npc. When I use them it will Save the npc names and locations in variable it will use when it saves the file and automatically create the startnpc and endnpc in the onload. I may also make it issue the command to open the dialogs and accept/complete the quests so I don't have to keep switching back and forth between mm and the game.
Getting back on topic, do you have to do both chains? If so how are they related? Or will I have to figure it out as I go?

Re: Way to Rorazan
You have to do all of the quests in Tergothen Bay, then the Rozaan quest line opens in Varanas south.
Re: Way to Rorazan
I see that Pub Owner's "Silver Eye" is available even before doing Fractured Verge. The Pub Owner's "Silver Eye" quest line is the one that ends and I completed. I think that has nothing to do with going to Rorazan. I'm going to concentrate on the other quest line that starts with Fractured Verge and see if that is all I have to do.
I spent most of today working on that modified version of createpath. I'm quite happy with it. Hopefully I'll be able to fly through the quests.

Re: Way to Rorazan
Hey Rock,
There are 3 quest lines:
Return of Glory
https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=461908
Envoy of Dragons
https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=464134
Magical Reconstruction
https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=461911
Return of Glory starts in the "Silver Eye" in Thunderhoof Hills, continues to SJF, NJF and Limo
Envoy of Dragons starts in AV continues to SJF, NJF and Limo
In Limo Return of Glory and Envoy of Dragons merge. If you misses steps in one of quests lines - you are stuck.
After Limo, Magical Reconstruction continues to LoM, Redhill and ends in TB.
Whoever designed this crap, should be shot.
P.S. The board would not let me post URLs

Re: Way to Rorazan
This is excellent information. I already new Quest for Glory started with the "Silver Eye" quest and the Envoy of the Dragons started in AV but I didn't know they merged. That's starting to make sense now. Thanks. My link is good because it uses bolding to help differentiate between quest titles and comments but I didn't realize there were 3 quest lines there not 2. I didn't come across your links at all.
So are you saying that the 3rd quest line "Magical reconstruction" requires both of the other quest lines to be completed before you can start it? I may have to treat all 3 quest lines separately. Thanks.

Re: Way to Rorazan
I leveled several characters to level cap the hard way.
Return to Glory and Envoy of Dragons are completely independent. In fact, you can take either quest line all the way to Limo and at the point where the quest lines merge you will get an note that tells you to go back and work on the other quest line.
Magical Reconstruction is a single quest line that goes through the rest of the regions. There are very few side quests unrelated to the Magical Reconstruction quest line.
The notes in the threads I posted mostly work. There are several pretty nasty quests in quest lines. I can recall at least one quest that requires very high dps - I failed it several times on an RT/KT geared rogue. Dropping and retaking quests was pretty normal.
Gearing will be an issue. Return to Glory quest line will be giving bags with blue gear and weapons that are decent. I don't know if they will be good enough. With each zone, mobs double in strength.

Re: Way to Rorazan
I mainly play on rom4u. All my alts are at least level 73 and have the level 65 armor packages available from the item shop. When I finished the Road to Glory line I was surprised to see that the level 65 blue stuff I was getting at the end was actually better than the stuff from the 65 package. I was using a primary character so it already had it's op gear but I did take the opportunity to upgrade my mage side gear which was still the blue package stuff.
It will be interesting to see how my level 73 alts manage with stock 65 blue gear. I haven't really thought about how I'm going to manage selecting the quest rewards. That's going to be tricky.
