I cannot get Whirlwind & Whirlwind Shield to cast reliably no matter how high I set their priority above the other skills. Even if I am capped out on rage/mana they will be bypassed MOST of the time in order to do the other skills in the list.
This is my current config, but I've also tried it with the two skills being the highest priority without any difference. Maybe it's got something to do with the GCD of skills. Any ideas how to get them to cast reliably?
so... I found these options for the GCD and edited them... ending up with a huge delay between attacks but it's still not casting Whirlwind or Whirlwind shield...
Am I understanding you correctly? Do you think that the skills are cast by priority? They aren't. They are cast in order based on the priority. So it goes through the whole list checking one skill after another, till it reaches the end then starts again. If you have a lot of skills it can be difficult to control the sequence. It's easier to use fewer attack stills.

So, it should try to cast both whirlwinds after applying slash to the target. It doesn't. What would be a way to make sure it's casting whirlwind? I've tried everything. It won't cast.
hi lisa, thank for the reply. if you switch whirlwind shield with whirlwind, in position and priority, does whirlwind cast as often as whirlwind shield does in your combat logs as you posted?
not likely as warr whirlwind requires rage and you start the fight with 0 rage, where as you start with max mana, usually. Also with using slash it tends to use up the rage as it accumilates, so majority of the time you wont get to the point you can use warr whirlwind.
I just have it in profile so that it is there for when I want to use an aoe WP instead and I can just disable slash and therefore it uses whirlwind.

Right, I'm assuming that you're never capped on rage without whirlwind being on cd then? I'm sitting at 100% rage all the time without it being casted. I'll try removing some skills and see if it will work.
