Help with files please

#1 Post by eags77 »

I went to the wiki and found I had to download a heap of files in order to get the bot to work, my problem is I have no clue how to save the files it says I need to use the bot? Do I need to save every single file found in the wiki googlecode trunk? How do I save/rename etc etc?

Read it more carefully. What you need to do is install micromacro. That runs the bot. Then install Tortoise SVN. You use that to install the bot and keep it upto date. You don't need to visit the truck or download any files individually.

  • How to: copy and paste in micromacro

Yeah, sorry was about to edit post, but you beat me. Only after searching forums for google code did I find that little gem about downloading Tortoise SVN. Didn't read about that on the wiki?? Now to be a total noob, can someone explain exactly (or is there a wiki about tortoise) on how to use it. I got it to download files, but don't know how or where to put them. Is there a sticky about tortoise? Information is a little scant...... Like where do I put the rom folder that Tortoise created?

This is the main Rombot thread.

Follow the tortoise svn instructions there.

Getting somewhere slowly.... but how do I change xml files to lua so the bot can use them? I only want to use the egg scripts I have found here, but they all seem to be xml files??

The waypoint files (ie. path files) are in xml format. To run them you start the bot by typically typing the following in the micromacro window,

Code: Select all

rom/bot
Then you select the waypoint file from the list.

Try reading the wiki
