Multiclient?

Hey,
im looking for a way to start runes of magic more than one time with only one user on my computer.
I can start it upto 4 times with two users, but sometimes, when i switch between the users, an error occurs. So when user A doesnt run a client, the clients form user B are crashing ;-(
im playing on the runesmagic.la privatserver.
is there any way?

There's no need for any modification. Just start the launcher multiple times under the same user account.

It could be that the private server you are playing on is distributing a modified client that prevents multiple clients, though.

You can't start the launcher multiple times but you can
-start the launcher
-start the game client
-start another launcher
-start the game
-...
That's the way it works for me.

good idea but not possible for me. i made a second folder, the launer starts, but not the game ;-(

Post a copy of your client.exe. Upload it as a zip file.

Starts multiple times just fine for me. Right click Client.exe and send to->desktop (create shortcut). Then right click the new icon on your desktop, go to properties. Change the end of the target line so it looks something like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Runes of Magic\Client.exe" NoCheckVersion

Use that to start the client. Does this work?

Then they modified some other file(s). Works fine for me.

i got the client from the original page runemagic.la
normaly there is no difference between the folders......

I actually encounted this problem, I run win 7 on one of my machines and I set the compatability to it's suguested win xp service pack 2. After changing that anytime I tried to load a second client the first would crash. I took off compatability and I can load multiples again.

Not sure if this would help or not.

I am running W7 and have none of the above problems with starting multible RoM windows and I had up to 14 clients running on one maschine.

Using original RoM client + just the stuff here for download, nothing edited.

What happends exactly happens when you try to start a second Runes of Magic?

the launer starts, but not the game

You press on start an it just vanishes? Or is there an error Message?
