Event Waypoints

We currently have the festival of fire.
People pay for rune ice and flame 100k.
So I had the worry, why not even waypoints for the events?
Let's see how I have time.

Start at Snoop Veranas
  • Features:
    At Start you have the option what kind u want Ostrich or Boar.
    It checks, if you have the 3h debuff, true/stop , false/go
    Then checks bag, if u have the item, if you have it, go straight to cooking, if not, go to the spot of Ostrich/Boar
    Farms the spot a small round, and check after each round if you have the item, if you have it, go cooking.
    with yrest u can handle, wich reward you wil become, i will look for an idea as an option at start

the only thing I have to do, is to see, why the running back and forth on the waypoints.

until now, everything seems to be working. But now I need urgently the ID case of silverfall-fire (the cooking place) or
any other idea to target it. (fixed)

update:
I do not know why, but the created waypoints are somehow buggy. I will run fore and back ,zig and zag. ?????

I did a waypoint for the hungry mice. Startingpoint is, right after Ajis portet you to the Bridge of Varanas.

maybe just try changing the moveTo to player:moveTo

looks like you also need the teleport userfunction for it to work.

not sure what language client the Stadtplatz is for but it doesn't look like english.

ahh I'm sorry about that. I have a very small userfunction in use, that eases the movement of my char. It looks like this:

And yes Lisa, the Teleportfunction is another thing that is required. In my released waypoints, i always try to avoid a dependance on any language. But in this case i stuck how to find out the name of the Plaza. So is there a document that lists all lang strings like this?

unfortunately at this stage there is no easy solution, I find them by doing text searches in CE.
Trouble is even if I did make up a table of all the text it would be in english, so you would need to know what the english version was in order to get the "TEXT" version to use.

If I get time later today I might see what I can come up with.

If you are bored give this a try, just add it as a userfunction and call it from commandline.

Might only work on 32 Bit OS
You also might need to update to MM version 1.03

I had a play through of the events that I found today, not sure I will bother to do up any WP for them.

NPC Flogg Suish at varanas bridge
Chat up some frogs to get 6 items, hand them back in to same NPC
He then gives you another quest to go talk to 3 other NPC to get items, Piecemeal Herbs
You then combine them with ribbon to make a herb bag thingy which you can exchange with the original NPC for a mount or a couple of other items. Not hugely exciting for me.

Group of NPC near varanas gates, usual spot for games.
1. quest is to stand on these red flouting things
2. quest to use skills on floating spikes
3. use items on flying crows
4. Manage to jump into some floating objects, green and yellow ones.

Rewards from any of them seem to just be frog celebration tickets, it would probably require flying to bot most of these, or atleast teleporting up to the spot. Very obvious either way.

NPC Convokens Rushman, near last group of NPC
Gives you a buff that lasts for 7 days and it says to hurry up lol
Anyway apparently frogs appear in lake of the mist only when there is a tornado, haven't seen 1 yet. So I am guessing there is a reason the buff lasts 7 days.

About flying in public:

I don't know for sure but whenever I let a party fly inside an instance it does not look like swimming to the other chars.

It is more displayed like a very laggy way of movement. So the bot is displayed walking all the time but moving like a sawtooth function throught air and on ground.

Anyways I did not make any waypoints by now besides one for gathering materials for the trade-in npcs. Unfortunally the area is full now with many ppl farming stuff for golden eggs and i only keep refinde materials on my alts :&

There is also an event where you have to touch fairies in the right order but as it is only displayed in the chat window i think it is not possible to track out which fairy you have to touch at what point of the sequence.

Btw. the one in logar that should give a title could be done by botting...

What other people see is you on the ground when you are not moving, when you do move they see you at the actual height you are and then drop to the ground then at the height again and drop to the ground, so when you are above the ground it is very obvious. so that is actually the behaviour i described.
Anyways on my server some of the parts at that minigame are broken already so i'll pass it by ;&

The NPC in eye of wisdom (varanas) give some nice rewards, costs 44 beetroot/willow wood/ tin ore, All lvl 8 basic resources, the beetroot is just once per acc per day, not sure on the others.
Remember no matter you do in life to always have a little fun while you are at it ;)
