scripts\rom\bot.lua:537: Error in your profile: onLeaveComba

#1 Post by grande » Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:02 pm

I've reinstalled fresh twice.

When I use the l1-10 profile I seem to get:

some "leave combat" error. Seems to do it frequently when using autologin to change characters but then it will also do it randomly after some period of time but also seems like it may hinge around certain points in a way point like interacting with a quest.. idk.

Also, when I chose to use a specific character profile (toonname.xml) things will tend to go nicely and then when the next character autologs in I get a lot of the yellow text...something like, range greater than 200 switching to 50. I tried all sorts of variations of the combat range and even deleted it from the profile at one point. It still goes on and on with the yellow text like a druggy having a fit.

thx for any help

This is the indication from the point it finishes with one character and begins to load the next:

it all comes down to how you are lvling up your skills.

'skill_from_db'

So I am guessing that you are trying to lvl up skills that arn;t actually in the skills database, the skills database doesn't contain any "passive" skills as they can't be cast, so if you are trying to lovl up a passive skill it will error.

From memory the code in default bot has a lvling skills 1-10 and also includes a scout skill for bow mastery which is passive, so when you reach lvl 6 as a scout it will error.

I guess someone should update that code, or possibly add a section in skills database for passives.
Remember no matter you do in life to always have a little fun while you are at it ;)

Well now the l1-10 bot seems to be doing fine... I don't really think I changed anything in the profile.

I'm still puzzled about this over and over again in my other profiles (yes, I changed the combat stuff/reinstalled yada yada):

Maximum range of range attack skills is less than COMBAT_DISTANCE 200. Reducing
COMBAT_DISTANCE setting to 50.

You said you get those messages after changing characters right? Those messages usually mean there are no skills for your current class in the currently loaded profile. I noticed that profile only has rogue skills. If you changed to a class other than rogue then you would get errors like that.

If you are using the latest revision of the bot, I suggest using

Code: Select all

loadProfile()
Use it after changing character. If you use it like that with no arguments then it will load a character specific profile if it exists or "userdefault.xml" profile if it exists.

Thank you! That makes perfect sense.

I was trying to add profiles (L1-10, but for some reason I was having other crash issues with that). When that failed omitted any load profile command because I thought it automagically used a default or named profile for the next character that would come in as is the case when you first load the bot. I now understand the "()" is what was needed to tell it to load the named profile for whatever the next character would be after the bot cycles in the next character.
