Bot trying to fight my pet?

#1 Post by klassik1 »

Hello,
This is kind of weird. It does not happen every time, but quite often, when i leave DOD. The bot halts the whole script because its trying to engage combat with my Pet?? Is there some strange option i need to change to true or false? I've tried to put Okander "Mad Man" Mallen as the "Mobs you want to target" in the profile.xml... But, im thinking because it has "" in it's name, its not letting me use it and comes up with an error. Anyone have any ideas?

heres my profile.xml

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

I've tried putting my pet's name under Friend's names... but now, when i kill the boss, it targets my pet and doesn't loot.
I've tried turning PvP to False... still does it.

I would say the issue is there. Some reason you are targeting your pet and then you tell it to smash ur DIYC.

You only have rogue skills and eggpet is set to false, what "pet" are you targeting?

My normal pet... the one you feed golden eggs to.

Well, hmm... i suppose that could be the problem. My question is why does the target go onto the pet in the first place. All that code is doing is rapid fire on the 1 key.
Well, since this is a DOD script... Is there a way i can change that while player:hastarget to When the target is Mad Man or his ID number?

In the DoD topic you will find code posted like this.

Code: Select all

settings.profile.events.onPreSkillCast =
function()
   target = player:getTarget();
   if target.Id == 103857 or target.Id == 103169  then
      if sendMacro("madman.Time") >= 1 then
         player:clearTarget();
         printf("Running\n")
         yrest(4000)
      end
   end
end
which is for the onload of the WP, that checks for mad man mallen before doing the code.

As to why you are targeting your egg pet that the bot isn't even set up to summon or feed in your profile, no idea.

I put that code in the OnLoad section of the profile.xml and it doesn't spam that 1 key at all. just white dmg.

Yeah, and its not only my pet. When i zone out of dod, sometimes i target's other people's pets and tries to engage in combat, which obviously halts the script in it's place.

Sounds like the ingame bug that makes pet red (like mobs) when they are far away or just appearing could be the problem... Maybe the bot thinks it's a mob?

The code you posted spamms the key anytime you have a target, not what you want at all.
Fix that code to only spam the key when you have a mob targeted and it will be fine.

I posted the code you would need to know when the bot has the boss targeted like you asked, you just need to use it.

Code: Select all

settings.profile.events.onPreSkillCast =
function()
   target = player:getTarget();
   if target.Id == 103857 or target.Id == 103169  then
--add what you want here for when you target madman
   end
end
