pawn.lua:470 Error - The ugly truth

pawn.lua:470: Error in memory reading
I changed nothing when this error began. The only thing that happened before it started is I had a client crash. I thought I would be fine because I frequently make backups of my RoM settings folder. No luck. No matter which backup I tried nothing would stop the error. Tried rebooting my computer a couple times thinking something was stuck in static memory. So I did the unthinkable.... I wiped out my MM folder and redownloaded via SVN, I wiped out my entire RoM settings folder... Finally no error.... but I'll be spending the next hour or more setting up my client interface, skill bars and addons. Gonna be a long night... Gonna try making backups of every folder involved once I get everything set up again for possible future error recovery.

I wouldn't have deleted everything. I would have backed everything up and then when I saw that it worked, I would have started copied stuff back in until I found the problem file. Then I would have just replaced that one. It's unlikely to have been anything in mm if it was working before. Files in the rom settings folder can get corrupt sometimes but I doubt it was all the file. Still, strange that restoring the settings from a backup didn't fix it.

Ya, I thought the same. I had other errors pop up in the past that copying from a backup fixed. I don't know why it didn't work this time. I guess I deleted everything this time out of frustration and being unwilling to do things one folder at a time to see what was bugged. I have most everything reset as before at this point (Xbar is such a pain to get the way I like it), although I still need to put a few macros back in. For now I'm just gonna start up KS farming and get some sleep.
