2 versions back of rom bot you had it get new addresses but the latest you seem to have removed that. I'm now sure if it the speed or version of windows but I seem to have a problem when starting rom/bot running. there is not much mention of this recently but in the past there was some incidence of this.
It seems to occur when I change to some zones I almost always have to run fixaddress.
The other problem it seems it timing. I will have to start it many times before it actually runs
rom/bot
fail
rom/bot
fail
rom/bot
. . .
sucess
This is not new it has been happening for couple years but seems worse since I got a a little faster machine. I don't have a clue were to look or id try to help debug it.

Re: running fixaddress
I usually run a rom/update (same thing as the fixaddresses batch file, though run after MM is started) when I switch between different servers. Even if they are at the same version, I feel more comfortable knowing it scanned memory and found the correct addresses for the server I'm connecting to. I also don't run more than one bot at a time. My system can handle up to 5 before it gets strange on me, but I choose not to so that I can still do other things while the bot is in the background.
I can't recall any instance where the bot refused to load other than when I was working with Rock on the getTEXT stuff a while back. Does it give an error message, or just exit without any messages? Without having something to go on, I don't think I could figure out where the problem might be.

Re: running fixaddress
the load problem started a year ago or so when he added in cpu timing check. I hoped he would remember were that code was I might try to adjust it.
