Updaing the RoM Wiki?

#1 Post by Wildfire » Sun Dec 18, 2011 2:38 pm

I couldn't help notice that the 'getting started' section for Rombot on the Wiki is out of date and has been since method used changed a short while back.
I came back to RoM very recently only to find the in-game macros partially disabled and one very dysfunctional Rombot. The setting up guide in the forums is somewhat scattered and I would imagine very confusing to any newcomer, thus new threads are started with simple questions and answers. This I imagine cause's a lot of headaches and frustration for the mods and all of which could be avoided.

Okay, so cutting to the chase. Are there any plans to get this section updated any time soon? or would this be up to the collective community?

I am referring to the following section of course: http://www.solarstrike.net/wiki/index.p ... ng_started

This was actually brought up a little while ago in the dev section but in the end I think it is just that we don't have the spare time to update it.

So I think if someone else has the time and knows what they are doing and how to do it then I say go for it ;)
Remember no matter you do in life to always have a little fun while you are at it ;)

Please feel free to make some changes. The whole point of a wiki is that the users are able to contribute, so if you find some inaccuracies, go ahead and update it.

Unfortunately, since anyone can make changes, this also means spam bots like to add useless garbage and sometimes even remove useful stuff. If you notice any of that, let me know.
