There is a folder for the in-game functions that needs to be copied from the RoMBot directory to your Runes of Magic/Interface/Addons directory. This is probably where the bot is getting stuck at start-up because the game can not find the add-on folder.

You said you updated micromacro. What version did you update to? Have you tried the latest beta version?

You don't really say where it gets stuck. Copy and paste the micromacro output here so we can have a look. Make sure you edit out any profile names that appear in the output. If you don't know how to copy and paste from Micromacro check out the link in my signature.

If you copied the ingamefunctions folder over then you probably made a mistake. It should look like this
  • ..\Runes of Magic\Interface\Addons\ingamefunctions
And don't forget to restart the game afterwards.

I had a wrong ingamefunction folder, a friend send his to me and that one worked. Still strange that mine was corrupted even after update.

That seems highly unlikely. If you copied the ingamesfunctions folder properly from the devtools folder then it should have worked. After all your friend would have also copied it from their devtools folder. This assumes you got your bot from the svn repository and you have no corrupted files. You can tell corrupted files because they will have red or yellow icons next to them. The only files that should have red icons next to them are files you edited yourself and sometimes addresses.lua when the addresses get updated after a patch. If you did not download the bot from the svn repository using TortoiseSVN, I highly recommend that you do so.

I have an issue with an ingamefunction check stoppage. I have read the forums here extensively and performed everything I can think of. My desktop runs the game and rombot flawlessly. My laptop runs the game with no issues but cannot get past the ingamefunction check. It says 11 is current but I have 8. I am not a programmer but I have removed each program and reinstalled. I have followed your suggestions to revert and update. I have even taken the files from the desktop and copied them to the laptop to no avail. Any suggestions?

Both machines are Windows 7 64bit and the addresses to all file locations are the same for the game as well as the svn/micromacro/rombot locations. Perhaps a third party software issue on the laptop? I am out of ideas...lol

Yes and it also says
copy the 'ingamefunctions' folder from 'rom/devtools' to the games 'interface/addons' folder. Then restart the game.
Did you do that? If you did do that and are still have the same problem it might be because you have another version of the ingamefunctions folder in the interface/addons folder (maybe a renamed backup or accidentally moved an older version into the folder of another addon). If there are any other versions then they will get loaded too and if they get loaded after the updated version then it will overwrite it.

Make sure you only have 1 version of the ingamefunctions folder (the updated version) in the interface/addons folder.

Thank you for the reply. I have done that. In fact, with that in mind I erased all micromacro files on the computer including the zipped download and redownloaded, installed and copied the ingamefunctions folder to the addon directory. I am at a loss since it runs fine on the desktop. It is a mystery although I'm sure when the answer is found it will be something I have done wrong....but that's why I'm reaching out. I have tried all I can think of.

The problem is not with micromacro or the files in your rom folder. The problem lies in your games "interface/addons" folder. If you copied the ingamefunctions folder properly, and remembered to restart the game, and it still does it then there must be another copy of the ingamefunctions somewhere in your addons folder. Try doing a search of the addons folder using the Explorer search box for "ingamefunctions" and see if you come up with any other results besides your main copy.
