Hello,
just a short question. Is there a difference between files starting with "addon" and "userfunction", and if what is it?

No there isn't. They were initially called 'addons' but it was changed to 'userfunctions' because addons could be confused with in game 'addons'. I was fairly quickly changed but a few userfunctions were already released with the prefix 'addon' such as my mail functions. I never changed it to 'userfunction' because then that would require users to manually delete the old 'addon' file. I left it as 'addon' because userfunctions starting with 'addon' are still supported and probably always will be.
Just remember any files starting with 'addon_' or 'userfunction_' are userfunctions. They should always be referred to as 'userfunctions' so as not to be confused with game addons. Any new userfunction should start with 'userfunction_'.
