Ok so I start launcher so it can update the game, after downloading who knows how much data for the patch it eventually has 100% for both. Still won't let me click play and starting using client.exe gets the version different when trying to log in.

Is this the last straw in an endless stuff up by gameforge/frogster ??
Do I even bother to try to fix this as it would probably require redownloading the who knows how many GB of data to get a fresh install?

I am undecided at this point. So I found the file
patch_5.0.7.2622.en_5.0.8.2623.en.exe
and execute it, guess what

Seems that the patch file is corrupted. Perhaps delete the patch file and try to re-download it.

hmm yeah, the file seems to be corrupted, try with manual update instead, happend to me some year ago aswell
u can find the manual patches at their forum, hope this helps

I have a few PC's with the game, 1 of them usually has a messed up patch and it changes between them. I just figure it is all about odds. I just used a patch file from another PC.

Still sux that it happens kind of regularly lol
