Don't remember credentials - need to log in again and again.

#1 Post by cufRet8e » Thu Jan 19, 2012 6:50 pm

I have problems with solarstrike.net forum. Every couple of minutes or clicks I have to login again. Doesn't matter if I check option "Log me on automatically each visit". I have only one cookie from solarstrike.net: "ci_session", expiry date 26.01.2012.
To write this post, I clicked index, clicked this topic, forum logged me out, I logged in, now I am writing this post. I clicked Submit and receive error:
Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this page.
If you believe this is an error, please contact admin@solarstrike.net.
On top of the page I still see "0 new messages
Last visit was: Thu Jan 19, 2012 9:38 pm
It is currently Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:42 pm " so I believe I am logged in. But I am not.

Using Firefox 9. I tried on clean browser profile, same results. Every other page works fine in my browser, I am using many other forums without problems. Finally, I sent this post from Internet Explorer ;|

That seems rather strange to me. ci_session doesn't have anything to do with the forums, though. That would be for the main site. The phpbb3_* cookies are what keep you logged into the forum.

When you get the forbidden error, what is the URL of that page?

Yesterday I did get logged out of the forum, first time in 12 months it has happened.

I just logged back in and it has been fine since.

I don't have any phpbb3_* cookies from solarstrike.net.

URLs:
http://solarstrike.net/phpBB3/posting.p ... =post&f=29

http://solarstrike.net/phpBB3/posting.p ... 21&p=33343

http://solarstrike.net/phpBB3/posting.p ... =21&t=3426

http://solarstrike.net/phpBB3/posting.p ... =21&t=3426

I have those URLs in browser history, title "403 Forbidden".

You've definitely got something messed up. Maybe your browser isn't configured to use cookies properly or something. You should definitely have the phpbb_* cookies if you are logged in here.
