Server Awareness

Just starting this topic to share my experience with botters and banning and to see what it is like on other servers.
I mainly play on the Reni (US) server.
Egg farming 24x7 for 4+ days at a time with no issue. Drop rate isn't too bad either.
Selling lots of stacks of eggs on AH is fine.
There are even some characters that everyone knows are bots - as they sit there farming dog meat for hours and hours at a time and have been reported numerous times (with no consequence of course).
Have started playing on the Oz server recently (not botting as yet) and have noticed that the drop rate for eggs is so miniscule as to be non-profitable when compared to just killing stuff and selling for profit.
What are the other servers like?

i bot at the moment with 8 egg bots ... get an average drop rate of 4.1-4.2 eggs/h.
i will get new hardware this weekend and hope to bot with 20+ bots at millers ... hope i will not destroy the market with flooding ...
also i try to lvl some chars to lvl 55+ to bot at ks ... anyone know a fast way to do this?

Well on the Australian server, if you bot for eggs, you will be whispered within a couple of hours or thereabouts. It's pretty hard to bot.
A good way to see how diligent the GMs are on a server is to see how many eggs are for sale on the AH and for what price.
At the moment, as I speak, the AH on the AU server has a grand total of 14 Golden Eggs. LOL. Selling for about 50k each, used to be about 100k. Not sure why it's gone down. If I remember correctly, on the EU server I used to play on there were probably thousands of eggs sold every day and the prices were in the 1k-2k range.

--=== Australia ===--
Aus server has a "we don't like botters or hackers" stance.
So they actively do what they can to get rid of botters.
They also respond to accusations of hacking and follow through, if you have a screen shot of someone doing something silly they will bann them.
Of course the game is so badly done that even legit players can look like they are bending rules and legit players have had banns put on them.
--=== Middle East ===--
I played middle east server for a while and they really didn't care about bots.
Not sure on any others.

As for EU there was an epic history with cerber bot, as he was reported by many players and he was banned 2 weeks after, because intervention of CM supported by forum and topic about "how GMs do nothing..."
Generally you can be banned in EU, when you have a lot of bad luck or you have been reported and even then there are difficulties.
Currently many golden eggs on my serw price dropped last two weeks from 25-35k to round 16.

It's quite simple actually. Supply & Demand.
I am reasonable sure that all the price drops were related to the Frog Event which allowed any character over level 20 to trade 50 Hunting Traps to Event NPC Owenstein (on channel 1 by fountain at Veranas entrance) for 20 Golden Eggs up to twice per day. That legitimate influx of eggs to the servers (for two weeks I believe), in affect allowed anyone the opportunity to sell Golden Eggs in AH w/o impunity. It also gave those that don't bot an alternate way to get eggs cheaper than AH as well, which also contributed to the price decline.
BTW, to answer the original question posed at the start of this thread, I farm on a US server with 3 botters & have left them running for up to 90 hours unattended while traveling for work and arrived back home to find them still running uninterrupted. Other days they drop after a few hours while I sleep (connectivity issues with my wireless I think). If I don't get stuck or lose my connection, I average 5 Golden Eggs per hour/botter by using a speed hack (set to 125) & lowering the yrest pauses in my MRC.xml waypoint file.

Well this event seems to be implemented only on US servers, so it explains nothing anywhere else.

In a related topic, using the new drop rate reports in RoM Bot I have noticed that my bots have been experiencing quite a varied drop rate from each other over the same lengths of time. This would be expected during a short sample time, but even after 12 hours the drop rate is varied. One would think it would average out over time, but it doesn't seem to. One bot's rate is half of what the other two get (the rates pasted below are from 3 seperate bots over the same 12 hours). It doesn't seem to be tied to a particular bot either; a bot that does well one day, does poorly on another & vice versa.
Any idea what cases the different drop rates?
Per 100 fresh eggs.
........To Collect......To Deliver......Golden Eggs Dropped
............65m..............54s........................3
............66m..............55s........................4
............179m............54s........................2
............70m..............54s.......................10
............65m..............54s........................3
............64m..............54s........................2
............69m..............54s........................4
............66m..............54s........................5
Fresh Eggs average drop rate: 74.2 per hour
Golden Eggs average drop rate: 3.06 per hour
Per 100 fresh eggs.
Fresh Eggs average drop rate: 90.09 per hour
Golden Eggs average drop rate: 5 per hour
Total stuck hens = 1
Per 100 fresh eggs.
Fresh Eggs average drop rate: 89.57 per hour
Golden Eggs average drop rate: 5.97 per hour
Also, what does a stuck hen behave like? It sounds self explanitory, I don't recall ever seeing one. Does it become completely unresponsive? Does it unstick itself or do you need to relog that bot to unstick it, so that your egg farming "runs on all cylinders" again? (Maybe that is why my drop rate sometimes lags behind others?) I have seen stuck eggs before. They display a system error saying something about being "busy" when you attempt to pick them up (it's particularly disturbing when it's a Golden Egg!).
Thanks.

Stuck hens are similar. When you click on them nothing happens. The bot can sometimes mistakenly think a good hen is stuck but hens put on the 'stuck hen ignore list' are not ignored permanently, they will be tried again after 5 minutes.
Hens that are actually stuck can only be cleared by logging off and back on or leaving millers and reentering. A 'ReloadUI()' doesn't fix it. Something a couple of users posted a long time ago made me think maybe they clear after 5 hours but I never confirmed this.

The time.
I've been seing those results for a while and i have to say that drop tends to be lower ad night, where eveyone is supossed to "use" the bot. And the drops increments while everyone's playing, at the morning/afternoon.

What causes stuck eggs & hens? I seem to be experiencing them at an ever increasing frequency.
Is there anything that can be done to stave off or lessen the chance of them occuring?
After 15 hours below are the results of one of my bots (the others were fine & averaged 5 - 6 GE/hr):
Per 100 fresh eggs.
To Collect To Deliver Golden Eggs Dropped
68m 54s 4
66m 54s 3
68m 57s 5
80m 55s 2
Fresh Eggs average drop rate: 84.85 per hour
Golden Eggs average drop rate: 2.96 per hour

Thank you.

Hmm, since my last post (3 hours ago) it seems to be getting worse & it is occurring with the same bot character.
The bot is also not continuing to the shed for feed now as well. I'm going to go back to using my old MRC.xml WP on this character instead of the MRC_Optimized to see what happens.

All hens are stuck. Waiting for hens Timeout to end before trying again.

You might just need to restart the client.

I've already done that to no avail. Twice. The eggs are still sticking & the bot keeps getting stuck in areas where it hadn't before.
I already posted a new thread detailing that issue here -->
