Re: [Discussion] The unbanable botter (detection prevention)

I'm not sure exactly how it was supposed to be handled but what I was told in game is that it didn't matter if you meant to benefit from the botter or not, you're guilty. I'd hear horror stories of how people who buy from known botters off the AH are punished (never saw it) so I'd imagine the same ...

Re: [WIP] more realistic walking bot/Anti-waypoints

Cool idea - couple thoughts: 1. The angle of turn doesn't really attract attention. More attention is paid to the path used. 2. The exclusion to this is the "ticking turn" - where the character stand in one spot, and turns slightly, as if checking each degree on the compass dial. 3. Forget...

Re: [Discussion] The unbanable botter (detection prevention)

lol budzer you answered my own question - How can you be a matter of luck not to be banned, if EU doesn't even go after botters to begin with? lol Man Blyad - I had no idea how bad you were lol. Oh, and the 3rd party app part of the TOS would still be used against you. For the purposes of the TOS, 3...

Re: multiaccounting - bann /

I thought your cat story was funny, but highly suspect. But I have a problem - I don't want to ban innocent players. Every shred of evidence I had I would go over 2 or 3 times before issuing a ban. This stems from a time when I was playing BHD with a friend. We were in a server that we didn't contro...

Re: GM detection and banning chance reduction

man, I got a big kick when I saw this first posted. And of course being a good GM I forwarded it to all the support staff - and downloaded it to see exactly how it worked. It actually got some GM's talking about bot hunting using lower level non-gm flagged under cover characters. I never did as I al...

Re: multiaccounting - bann /

Thanks Administrator for your quick response - I took your advice and slightly modified my reply. One reason for the high prices: Goldseller I have one question: Why are the frogster-boys doesn´t do anything against goldsellers? If it is so easy to catch the botters - why is it so damn difficult to ...

Re: [Discussion] Botting the New Broswer-Based Client

I looked into this - basically, you are still playing the native RoM client. The difference is that it has been broken up into chunks so that it can be played while the rest is downloaded. The technology used boasts that you don't have to make major changes to the game code to work with the system. ...

Re: multiaccounting - bann /

Yes the rumors are true. 1st - the game client send your mac address to the server. Not a rumor, verified fact. 2nd - Game logs every thing (just about) and yes, the GM's do check those logs. How do I know? Because I did it - I am a former frogster GM. And I have spent hours on one botter account co...
